Event Description: Learn how to incorporate independent fired clay forms onto 2-D wooden substrate supports with encaustic paint.

This workshop will take place over two consecutive Saturdays. Session 1 will cover how to create clay pieces, scaled to collage onto a 12 x 12 wood panel. Session 2 will encompass the layering and embedding of ceramic materials with encaustic paint onto the flat panels, to complete 2 encaustic ceramic collages suitable for wall hanging.

Students will discuss individual projects and concepts one-on-one with instructors and be encouraged to take their work to the next level.
