Event Description: In this session, Clovy Tsuchiya demonstrates how she uses hand building techniques to make sleek, curvaceous serving spoons with carved decoration. It’s a chance to focus on the details of a clay spoon- thinking about fitting the scoop to what you’re serving, it’s position at rest and in use, and the flow from bowl to handle. Each student can complete up to three spoons during the class session as greenware (glazing will be independent).
