Event Description: Soda Surface and Fire is a workshop, led by Betsy Smith & Wayne Pennington, on preparing work for and firing a high fire soda kiln using KAC’s soda kiln built in 2015 by the center and its students. The July 14th session will cover types of clay, object shapes and surface treatments appropriate for soda firing. The Aug 3 & 4 session is final prep, loading and firing the kiln.
