How to Teach Beginning Pottery, instructed by Pat Colyar. Kokanee Clay Studio, Saturday, February 10th, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. $80

This will be a hands-on seminar aimed at throwers who would like to teach a beginning throwing class, or instructors who would like to feel more confident about their approach. 

Since there is no "certification" for throwing teachers at most pottery studios, students are at the mercy of whatever miscellaneous techniques that the instructor has picked up over the years. Pat will bring her experience from 35 years of teaching throwing at various locations in the Seattle/Eastside area. There will be handouts and a sample class plan, and sharing of techniques will be encouraged.
