Event Description: Join us for an evening with artists Liz Quackenbush and Julia Galloway. They will discuss the influence of the natural world on their artwork and share their inspiration, creative process, and stories. Both artists received the Jean Griffith Fellowship Artist NW; Liz in 2019 and Julia in 2020. Their presentations will address artwork made during their residency at Pottery Northwest. Liz reflects on her astonishment of the coastal maritime environment and how it has influenced her work. Julia, as part of her Endangered Species Project, is making artwork about threatened and endangered species of Washington State.
