Pottery Northwest is pleased to present The Endangered Species Project: Washington, an exhibition of artwork from Montana-based ceramicist Julia Galloway’s most recent endeavor. Galloway is making urns for the threatened and endangered species in the continental United States and this exhibition will focus on species in Washington state. Her pottery illustrates vulnerable species like snowy plovers, fishers, and grizzly bears. Galloway writes that “change occurs when something that is generally unseen becomes seen.” This body of work brings to light the condition of Washington's threatened and endangered animals. A portion of each sale will go toward conservation efforts in Washington.
